European Suzuki Association Examinations Manual Revised May 2022 Page 10 of 24 APPENDIX C1 EXAMINER FEES From 1 May 2022 the net remuneration for SUZUKI™ Teacher Trainers/Examiners in Europe is as follows The minimum fee for any examination regardless of length is 240 Euros For each hour commenced above four hours, the hourly fee to be paid is 50 Euros If examinations take place in the framework of a SUZUKI™ Workshop, the teaching time per day can be included into the minimum of four hours Example 1 4 x Level 1 or Level 2 examinations Time = 4 x 45 minutes (30 minute exam and 15 minute assessment time for the Examiner Panel to write the Exam Report). Total time = 180 minutes = 3 hours. Fee = 240 Euros. If the exams are taking place within a SUZUKI™ Workshop or similar and the Examiner has been teaching and been paid for the teaching on the same day, a total cost of 195 Euros is to be paid to the Examiner. Example 2 4 x Level 4 examinations Time = 4 x 75 minutes (60 minute examination and 15 minute assessment time for the Examiner Panel to write the report). Total time = 300 minutes = 5 hours. Fee = 290 Euros. Example 3 2 x Level 2 and 2 x Level 3 examinations Time = 2 x 45 minutes and 2 x 60 minutes (2 x 30 minute exams and 15 minutes assessment time plus 2 x 45 minute exams and 15 minutes assessment time for the Examiner Panel to write the report). Total time = 210 minutes = 3 hours 30 minutes. Fee = 240 Euros to be paid in any case since the 4th hour was commenced and needs full payment. Fees payable to Teachers in Workshops and Teacher Trainers in Training Courses The ESA suggests a net payment of 200 Euros per day in Workshops, Conventions, and Teacher Training Courses and similar. The ESA also suggests a maximum of five hours of Teaching and a maximum of seven hours of Training per day. The ESA does not provide any fixed tariff for Teaching and Teacher Training Courses. Budgeting for Examiner Fees All fees as detailed above are net amounts and do not include any taxes and national health charges. The gross amount (fees + tax + health insurance) should be used when estimating costs for Examinations.
