Examiners See Appendix C1 Examiner Fees A list of approved Teacher Trainers and Examiners will be published in the ESA Teachers’ Newsletter each year and on the ESA website. Home Teacher Trainer is the Teacher Trainer who has actively trained the examination candidate and, as such, is required to be present at the examination as Home Examiner on the Examination Panel. Home Country is the country of residence of the Home Examiner as defined in the ESA list of approved Teacher Trainers and Examiners. a. There must be three Examiners of the instrument being examined present, including the Home Examiner. In the light of the situation with the COVID-19 virus, the ESA will temporarily grant an exception to the regulations as follows – • All Exams can be conducted via video conferencing (e.g. Zoom, Skype, Facetime) where all Examiners and the Exam Candidate are ‘present’. • The Performance, Teaching and Listening Skills elements of the exam can be recorded and sent to the Examiners for assessment prior to the Exam date. • A selection of work from the Journal and Assignments can be sent to the Examiners for assessment prior to the Exam date (with no obligation for Examiners to read the whole content). • The Viva Voce element of the exam will be carried out during the Exam.
