25 European Suzuki Flute Gathering 2025 W e all know that by participating in an event where our beautiful work is shared, we are enriched, we find new stimuli and new motivation, we always grow, we take home a possible basket of beautiful memories. We returned from Aarhus, European Suzuki Flute Teachers Workshop 2024, with a desire, that of meeting again, this time even more, this time with our students. Hence the intention to organize a European event dedicated to teachers and students of the Suzuki Flute. We know very well that without everyone's contribution our dream cannot come true and therefore we will be happy to be able to share the desire with all of teachers hoping that the same enthusiasm and the same "madness" will take hold of them. Thinking about our meeting, we were inspired by what our Suzuki colleagues do for the Viola. We found our goals in their goals. We thank them and hope to carry out our event with the same spirit. An opportunity for Suzuki Flute Teachers and Students from across Europe to meet, play music, teach and learn, all in the spirit of celebrating Suzuki Flute in a welcoming, non-competitive environment. Registration fees will be kept as low as possible. Those who teach at European Suzuki Flute Gathering (ESFG) 2025 will do so on a volunteer basis. ESFG is a weekend event from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. ESFG is oriented towards community building, exploring ways to share experiences and new ideas to increase Suzuki Flute visibility within the larger European Suzuki community and beyond. The concept of a 'gathering', still taking from the Viola, wishes to create a special atmosphere of equality, helpfulness and mutual respect. We thought of a place that could be equidistant from all countries and, even though we know that this is very difficult, we have identified Germany, for this time, and a location that can be useful and available considering accessibility, spaces, utility, moderate costs for classes and families. We have considered three days in mid-July as a good period in which to hope to obtain the consensus of many. The 1st European Suzuki Flute Gathering will be held 18-20 July 2025 in Limburg (50 km from Frankfurt/Main, Germany) Starting to contact our colleagues of the Suzuki Flute in Europe we were immediately happy to have obtained consensus and the joy in the availability to collaborate. Thanks also to the approval of the European Suzuki Association we hope to be able to meet students, families and teachers next July in Germany. Who knows … this event can then be repeated in the future with continuity exploring Europe and the joy of meeting and celebrating our beloved flute. Britta Roscher (Germany) Marco Messina (Italy)
